Very nice and balanced design... If you want, I may try to photograph it... but it may stay on this side forever... :D

 

Hee hee, no question you do a much better job than me, but this pen is on borrow time. I took some quick snaps for a potential buyer. I'll work on this some more this weekend.

Nice photos, Kevin!

 

I've taken a few photos of my Danitrio Komori, and it's hard! I haven't taken any that I can show yet! So reflective... and I'm trying to capture that deep, creamy, rich color.

 

Maybe I'll have to use my Nikon D80 with the f2.8 or whatever lens. The lens that lets in a lot of light and you can't zoom in or out. That lens.

Chalk up another beauty to the annals of Danitrio! That is a fabulous pen--so subtle and yes, so difficult to capture with a camera lens. But enough of its beauty shines through in these photos so that we know this one is exceptional. Thanks, Kevin.

I've taken a few photos of my Danitrio Komori, and it's hard! I haven't taken any that I can show yet! So reflective... and I'm trying to capture that deep, creamy, rich color.

 

Maybe I'll have to use my Nikon D80 with the f2.8 or whatever lens. The lens that lets in a lot of light and you can't zoom in or out. That lens.

 

Try a circular polarizer filter ... it may help you also, and combine it with long exposures ... Won't add any other suggestion as you are a master with your camera...

 

Will wait all the time needed as the result will sure be breathtaking!

Every time I see the Danitrio Fellowship banner it reminds me of a candy bar wrapper and it is driving me out of my mind! (but I suppose I was halfway there to begin with ... :roflmho: )

I now have a Cannon EF 50mm f/2.5 compact macro lens for my Canon Rebel and I will be photographing the pen that came in the mail yesterday.

As always, came late to the feast but enjoyed the "leftovers" . :headsmack:

 

Between Mac, José and Kevin, I think I've seen the most beautiful pens AND PHOTOS ever...competing (IMO) against Nakaya. Beautiful photos that are inspiring me to get the Canon MP-E65 ....after the Nakaya pen or is it before it? :bonk:

Danitrio Takumi Chinese Zodiac 'Dog', limited edition (2010), sold by Kevin (operadoc). Artist: Shunpei (俊平) signed also with red seal ('kao'). The sign of 'The Year of the Dog' (戌) drawn on the section. With an RF (rigid fine) #6 duo-tone Danitrio nib having the Kohai (光背), the "flaming wheel", engraved on it. Various techniques of hira and taka-maki-e with several shell inserts. The dogs are Akita-inu , a traditional breed from the North of Japan.

 

A friend of mine, a dog breeder, noticed that one of the dogs is angry, ready to attack, while the other one is in a calm posture,
