Piston filler ? mmmmmmmmm :cloud9:

I'm glad I got my Menlo when I did. I really enjoy this pen.

And,

oh god, a piston filler is on the way? I'll be in heaven. Guess I finally found a possible pen purchase for 2009. What type of model might it be?

In all honesty, the only details that I've worked out is which piston mechanism to use.

I have a new pen that will be launched this week or next, then a piston will probably be on my plate.

But I really haven't wrapped my brain around design at all yet.

My Edison is a joy to write with even with the Taccia steel nib. I remember you telling me Brian that I might just be surprised at how well you can make a steel nib write. I am surprised - its a great writer. But I am saving for a gold nib model. Just wish the global financial crisis had of held off as the aussie dollar was in the 90s at one stage. Now back to 60s and that add a fair chunk to my buying price. I'm saving Brian - will get one soon. I want the orange duofold clone.

I'd think that getting rid of the converter fill and going with a combination of bulb, piston and vac-fill might be the way to go. Too many competitors in the converter. Too few in bulb, piston and vac. I'm a piston-fill fan, which is why up until now Pelikan has garnered much of my pen $, but I'd be glad to switch my allegiance!

What he said.

Any updates on the rhodium Edison nibs?

Rhodium Edison nibs are here.

I just haven't updated the website.

I'm in a transition to my new shop, and I don't have my photo studio relocated yet....

Tune into the webcam, and I can show them to you.

Will the rhodium nibs cost the same as the yellow gold ones?

I've got to admit, a pen that combined all three filling systems would be pretty exciting! What would you call a system like that? A "vac-stion-ulb"?

It would probably be unfeasable, as noone would be able to pronounce it.

Same cost.

Maybe I'll get the photo studio set up so I can get pics out there...maybe my next blog entry.

Whee! I can finally get another one! (Since I have your earlier Rhodium one.)

Now I just need to figure out what to get.
