First impression: 4/5

Nicely packaged in presentation box. This is my first Bexley, and I see I can register the pen, which is a nice option. Prompt service from Parkville Pens (no affiliation).

Appearance: 5/5

I got the Onyx model, and was very struck by the beautiful colors of this pen, almost iridescent. (Can't stop checking it out.) The classic shape attracted me right off, too.

Design/Size/Weight: 5/5

5 1/4” closed. 6 3/8” posted. Cap comes off in 2 1/2 turns. Perfect size and weight for me. The shape and size are similar to some classic vintage pens, like the Vacumatic and Carter.

Nib: 4/5

Stainless steel, Fine. A western fine, more like fine/medium. First Schmidt nib I’ve owned and puts down wet line dependably. Smooth, but not quite as smooth some others I have, and I’ll admit I’m pretty spoiled with a lot of good nibs.

Filling system: 4/5

Converter, international size. OK.

Cost and value: 4/5

$99.00, post paid. A fair enough price for a very nice pen.

Conclusion, total rating: 26/30

I like it. It's a keeper.
