Hi folks-1st post...Recently acquired a MONROE mech. pencil. It's a nice pearl/black swirl.Good gold plating. On a rather narrow clip-turned up at end is only the word MONROE. On side is : 1st line=W, 2nd line=MONROE, 3rd line=GLORIFYING THE CANADIAN FOUNTAIN PEN, 4th line=TORONTO-CANADA, 5th line=DESIGN REG On top is a ribbed gold or brass eraser holder that is twisted to expel lead.Does anyone know if there should be some type of cap over this part? Would appreciate any info/picture of this m.p. Thanks-Wayne-Saginaw,MI

I'm resurrecting this (splendid) thread to observe that, over the next few hours, a good chunk of the Eclipse (and sub-brands) collection featured in the Pen World article mentioned above is going on the block. It's sad to see a collection like this get broken up, but exciting to see such an unprecedented flood of Eclipses on eBay.

Here's a few of my Eclipse pens. This NOS BCHR ringtop I picked up a few years back came with the original box, strap, hardware and packaging. Turn the warranty over and it's in French too. :happyberet:

I bought another ringtop at the same time and planned on saccing one to use, then I found a Wahl and a Conklin ringtop I could use so I decided to leave these Eclipses in their boxes.

Here's the second Eclipse ringtop I bought. This one is missing the box lid and warranty. Both ringtops have warranted 14k flex nibs.

I'll scan both sides of the warranty the next time I have the scanner out and post it.

Finally, here's a little GF vest pen I use. It's got a sweet little flex stub.

Ok folks:
Can anyone shed any light on this set. It's made in Canada, says Enduro but has the Eclipse Pen and Pencil Company on the box. It's a "modern" dip pen. I'll have to post several pics on this set. Was Enduro a sepreate company or a brand name of Eclipse, or was it soley made by Enduro and marketed by Eclipse?

on a french FP forum there was earlier this month a guy who had found an old unmarked bulb filler with an EN-DURO canada nib. the unmarked bulb filler barrel looked a lot like Ernst Bitterman's eclipse bulb filler. i thought that maybe there was a connection between Enduro and Eclipse, and now we have this, which is a bit of a proof of the connection.

this is a big pen! standard size: 5" capped, over 6,5" posted! the #20 sac is nice with a superflex nib.
i'll get that nib repaired by Greg Minuskin one day. i'm also considering to get it reground from medium to fine. then maybe installing it in a Reform 1745 :hmm1:.

Ha! I'm not so good at guaging pen sizes by photo. I've got a few really nice flexy nibs that need repair too.

I've bookmarked Greg's site. Thanks.

I have an Eclipse that looks almost identical to this. I'll try to post pics of mine when I get a chance. I love the pen, but the flow on mine is very irregular. :(

Can anyone tell me please if the blue filigree above comes with a blue or black section.

The three colored filigrees in my collection have black sections.

In fact, of the more than 100 Eclipse pens I’ve restored I have never seen anything but a black section.
