International Traveling Journal ITJ 02

Recommended Posts

The International Traveling Journal 02, Spain or Bust is now in Southern California! I have it, I've read it and it is very enjoyable!

I'm just hoping that you're not just being kind. I'm sure my dyslexic drivel must have bored people that managed to decypher it.

Never. :)

Do we know where this has got to?

Yes, and I am so sorry to have had it for so long. I'm half way through my story (which I am having a very difficult time writing). I'll finish it up tonight and send it on it's way tomorrow.

Clyde is pondering whether to keep it rolling or sending it to the National Shrink's Association to see if any of us are as potentially nutto as we seem. In which case he will hold on to it till it can be use as proof of truth. :P

Clutching at the faint straws of sanity:-

who gets it next?

or to put it another way - when is it my turn again?

IIRC, Jim, it goes to Kudzu, then back to kiavonne, then starts again with Ondina, me & then you......is that right, Kimi, or have I forgotten someone?

So you're telling me it's going to be ages then.

Time for another single malt while I wait, then.

I am so confused, is this the Kiavonne traveling journal series or the Toulouse traveling journal series, which was funneled through Toulouse and so theoretically everyone got a go at all 6 journals?

-- edited: Oops. Sorry. Saw familiar names and thought it was a different thread: just realized that the Toulouse journal thread has "summer" in the title! My Kiavonne journal/s: MIA :bawl:

Ahh, The Bottle. For the first full year I tried to blame the spirit in my home on the spirits of the bottle, but alas, to eventual ruin my plans to stop her by simply replacing the stopper. She is here, with me now in my tiny office at home. I can feel her staring at me from every corner, but never the one I spin to see. Ahh, The Bottle, to the bottle.

  • 1 month later...

I'm back from vacation (loved Hawaii) and received Kiavonne's lovely package. Thank you so much! And now I'm eager to know who has our new journal? Or as Jimothy was saying, when's it my turn again!

Hey, if you've got it I want mine, too! :) Probably is the extra weight of the new journal. I'll PM you with the details of the CD.....

Pacakage received, thanks Kimy.

I'm going to keep you in suspense about what the mystery item is and what I think about it.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
