Waterman CF Ink Cartridge = Nightmare !

ASL

Recommended Posts

Hello there .. I have a nice Waterman Set.. The fountain pen has the famous problem of Waterman CF Unavailable cartridges, thus I used to handle this single cartridge with care and inject it - smoothly - with ink as & when required .. I don't know how & or what happened but seems that I ve misplaced the cartridge somewhere and now the pen is useless :headsmack: .. I have tried many refills but nothing worked ..all refills are leaking .. any clue where I can find such cartridge or may be an aerometric filling system taht fit my pen.. Many thanks in avance.. ASL

Hi, ASL. Last I'd heard, one could still order from Waterman a converter that will fit the CF. I believe it's the converter for a Lady Waterman. Best,

David

I just purchased 2 of them today. Call the service department 800-237-8736. After a rather long message you can speak to a real person. The converters cost $11.50 each. A very nice lady helped me out. They will arrive in 3 business days.

I purchased my Waterman CF converters from RichardsPens. However, Waterman mini-cartridges fit all my CF pens without any problems.

I have purchased several c/f convertors from Mr Lewertowski in e bay. All of them have worked OK. His service is very quick and he also sells Waterman Parker and Rotring. The converters are no different from ones I have purchased with c/f pens.

I have had mixed results with Waterman minis.

I prefer to buy converters from JML (Penseller from France), who has an extensive eBay store (I'm one of his many TFPN happy customers.)

As a result, I've accumulated a few C/F cartridges with pens that I've bought, and I'm in Brissie too (Jindalee), so as an Xmas special/'pay it forward' for a fellow Aussie, PM me with your details and I'll arrange to get them to you.

Glenn.

I put a box in the post to you today; I think they're all blue (made up from part boxes and singletons over the last year or so.)

Glenn.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
