In the USA, isellpens is now carrying the Stypen line.

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Worth about 6 dollars in Office Depot. Nice writer, expecially for the price

The voice of this guitar of mine, at the awakening of the morning, wants to sing its joy;

I sing to your volcanoes, to your meadows and flowers, that are like mementos of the greatest of my loves;

If I am to die away from you, may they say I am sleeping, and bring me back home.

I received one of these from a friend in Québec just yesterday, probably bought at the Stylo shop in Québec where he spends much of his time these days. <G>

Mine has an aluminum barrel and a one-piece silver-painted plastic cap and clip; the cap definitely does not seal well to the section when put on all the way to the shoulder, but fits snugly a little further out. I'm thinking of adding a flat rubber washer about 1 mm thick against the shoulder; that should both tighten the cap and improve the air seal.

This is a great cheap fountain pen, my son really likes them too. Sometimes you get a hard start. I think it looks really nice pushing Platinum Blue Black, my journal entries using that combo stand out.

I am enjoying my X-Pen for £0.49p. It looks tough enough for school use. The barrel seems as tough as a Rotring Rivette, and you can stamp on those (We tested them in our school prior to release in the UK!) The soft grip collects dirt! The lid can work itself a little loose. I just checked and I have 3 of these "in stock" I gave a few away as prizes at school. I had to buy them at 49p!

That is a very good price for a Bic Xpen. It looks as if Bic has discontinued fountain pens and only will produce pencils and ballpoints. At the moment there are no fountain pens anymore at the bicworld website.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
