Someone take pity on me...

Ok, I can never find a pen that I like, and can afford to pick up before it's sold!

Would someone sell me a nice pen, a daily user in the $35 -$45 range? I see them all the time, but they are always sold! I would like something to rotate in my collection of pens that I have made so I have something comercialy produced. I would like something in the brown or black range because I want to mate it with some Visconti brown ink.

I would prefer the cap to be resin, not metal and I don't mind thick pens, but very tall can be hard for me to keep in my pocket.

Does anyone have something they want to sell? I just don't have the time or knowledge to search e-bay for a good deal and I want to learn a bit more about commercial pens.

Please drop me an e-mail if you like.

Dave, I was looking very hard at these to be honest, it was just the bite marks that made me stray.

I know, those bite marks are a drag. The pen writes so good. It'll be a great user for someone. Maybe I lower the price in a couple days, I'm not sure. I went pretty low already because of those bites.

Hope you find your pen. :)

OK, I promised I would post up what I bought. First off, I really appreciate all the offers that came in and I wished I could of bought them all, but I can only play with so much before I get in the dog house!

One member here, Kruze, made me an offer that I could not refuse and was still in my price range. His offer was for a Montblanc 344G (OBB nib) The pen is in great shape, the snowflake is worn off, as is most of the ink on the cap name, but the name is clear and readable. (Is there a trick to "fill" the name in white?)

The pen is stunning to write with, I have never used an italic nib, but this nib is very well behaved with Visconti Brown. It is very smooth without a hint of scratch at all. I applied a coat of Renaissance wax and removed the clip to polish it like new in my shop so it almost looks brand new. I am very happy with this pen and I feel a bit humble to even own a Montblanc to be honest. Thanks again Jim!

Then after this offer was made, Anthony (Zer0render) offered a couple, one being a NOS Pilot that I really liked the look of and for a great price so I threw caution to the wind, and figured it was better to ask forgivness than permission and pulled the trigger. This pen has an extra fine (I believe) nib and writes so very tiny. I really like that becasue all my pens are in the med range so these two pens mate togather nice.

So to all those who e-mailed and even more to Jim & Anthony for taking pity on the newbie who misses all the good deals, Thank you!

Some people even give pens away freely. I've given probably half a dozen to different people. And have also been on the receiving end of a converter that I couldn't find as well as an Esterbrook early in my collecting.
