Should I only use MB ink

While enquiring MontBlanc's national representative on various issues, I was told that MB encourages to use MB's own ink due to the presence of "SC21" in them, being an self-cleaning agent. Further, I was told that any pen that comes in clogged, due to non MB ink, it is charged for the costs (cleaning or feed replacement). This is common business with any manufacturer, I think. After all, if one clogs the pen with sub-standard f.p. ink, she was looking for trouble, and any pen manufacturer is highly likely to charge for the costs of maintenance. On the other hand, I think that any pen manufacturer should not complain when presented with a pen that used ink from legendary ink manufacturer, such as Diamine, Herbin, Roher and Klingner, Waterman, most of which have been making high quality ink for centuries, and thus have extensive experience. It is unlikely, for example, that one clogs the MB, or any other pen for that matter, with a Waterman ink.

Don't limit yourself to MB ink, but buy at least one, just for the bottle!
