Ditto!

Thank you for mediating this order with a high order of professionalism. I hope that this can continue.

Are there any plans for future orders? If so what are they. Can you get any of the FPN Notepads anymore?

Also, how did the FPN fountain pen sale previously go?

Looking forward,

David

I second this thought. Some great FPN notepads would go great with my FPN pen, FPN inks, and FPN mug (which I plan to purchase soon).

The FPN pen sold out very quickly. I sure hope there are plans for a second "edition"

You're welcome!

We will continue to stock the ink as long as there is demand, so the inks should remain available.

The notepads were very difficult. They were made by someone who does not create them for a living. They are very expensive so we had virtually no markup on them. Also, since they are made to order, there is an extremely long gap in time from ordering to delivery. In the past we allowed several weeks or more of ordering to allow members the chance to get in on the ordering. Then it took time for them to be made and shipped. We had an angry member or two because of this time lag. We could look for a cheaper/faster way to get them done, but the quality of those pads were so luxurious, that it's difficult to think of switching to another vendor. After the last run, I swore I'd oppose any future notepad products. I think I've softened my stance on this, but if we did another run, it wouldn't be soon. (This is just my opinion/feelings on the matter, I'm only one person of a 6 member Admin Team).

As for the pen. They sold out VERY quickly. We did not intend for it to be so limited, but a lot of work went into the design (thank you Kurt!) and we found out last minute that the materials were limited. When we do another pen, we will make sure that the materials are not so limited.

Thanks for the pictures. While I thought that I appreciated the effort involved, seeing all those cartons assembled and all those boxes of ink bottles cocooned in bubble wrap put things into a more realistic perspective.

Add in responding to orders, tracking invoices and payments, replying to inquiries ... It's pretty much an enormous undertaking.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
