Hi,

Never bought from him personally, although often been tempted, but his name does crop up fairly regularly as a reliable seller (at least from our US members).

Hmm this looks like one of those that even if we get clobbered for VAT etc.etc might still work out a bit cheaper than buying over here (price seems to be around the £90, roughly double).

Anyone in the UK bought from this seller?

PM me if necessary

Hi Andy

I've bought Legacy's from here plus on or two other things.

Excellent seller and superfast delivery considering is from US. I am in UK.

Highly recommended.

Excellent seller! I've bought several pens from Todd.

I am in the U. S., too. But I do want to give my endorsement to Todd as a seller. Excellent - prices, communication, customer service. I can't ask for more.

I've bought from Todd for delivery to Canada, no problems. The only thing is, you have to be aware of the need to pay the extra international shipping (not super-obvious in how the site is set up, so it's easy to miss).

Great communications, shipping, etc. An experience that is "discount in price only."

I'd definitely recommend Todd. I recently bouyght several pens from him and had a problem with one. Next thing I new there was a replacement in my mailbox. Good communication & great service.

Hi All,

Buy with confidence. I've never had an problem with any of my purchases from Todd - and those purchases have included pens that turned out to have defects. Any such issues have been rectified quickly and graciously.

I typically "spread out" the shipping charges by buying a few pens at a time. If you're contemplating the Lamy (I bought mine from Todd a while back), you might want to browse his site and consider adding on one or two additional inexpensive pens. I've picked up some wonderful cheapies that way.

The usual "no affiliation" disclaimer applies.

Cheers,

Jon

Todd sent me some pen cases and a wrap over to the highlands a few months back. Good comms and we worked out the best deal for postage re insurance etc. The price can be right, particularly the way dollars and sterling currently sit. I just hate paying the 'handling fee' of £8 and the couple of extra weeks waiting for things over £35 - just have to take tax on the nose for new items I suppose.

I'll chime in and say Todd's great to buy from - no worries at all here!

I've had handling fees of £12 per item which when coupled with a drive to an industrial estate on the far side of Bristol to pick items up really, really grates!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
