Ordered a bottle of Tulipe Noire and a bottle of the blue (in an e-mail where I asked questions that I could have found answers to had I read the ordering info more thoroughly  ).

Wackyjacky, which blue did you order? Are they selling a new blue?

Not yet, not yet.

How long will orders be taken?

How long will orders be taken?

As long as we get enough orders to cover the initial cost of a full set, we will keep on taking orders. Just that it could take a little longer once the initial two boxes are sold out, and we have to save up for the next one.

Last question . . . for the moment. Any idea how far into the initial two boxes we are?

As of 8:14 AM EDT 128 bottles have been sold.

We are getting low on the FPN Manuscript Brown and a decision has to be made soon whether or not to order another case.

I emailed my request for 1 Tulipe and 1 blue, and to hold until the blue is ready. Should I receive anything back?

Elaine:

Any word on the selection of the blue color? I'd be willing to wait for my other bottles, if the selection and creation process for the blue was close to being complete.

It's not really close to being complete. We're waiting for word from Noodler's on another choice.

I emailed in a request for one bottle of the FPN Dumas Tulipe Noire ink. This was several days ago. I have not heard anything back yet. Should I attempt to email my request in a second time?

As of this moment, all requests have been processed, so yes, please re-submit. Thank you.

I ordered my 2 bottles, one each Tulipe Noire and Galileo Manuscript brown, PayPal payment made shortly after getting the invoice. The little notice said something about the Tulipe Noire being sent in 3-4 weeks but no mention of how long it would take for the brown. Did I miss something?

No rush or anything, just sorta curious how long it will all take.....

Cheers,

I'd like to order a bottle, but the shipping costs to Singapore are a little insane. US$11 is the cheapest shipping option - almost as much as a bottle.

To try saving on shipping, would like to start a mass order to this little country.

Have PM'ed some fellow Singaporeans on these forums, but if you're reading this and would like to join in, please PM me.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
