Has anybody heard of this ebonite fountain pen from Dindigul?

It popped up in a google search. I have never heard of nor used "indiamart.com".

The carved decorations at the ends of the pens looked interesting... A kind of 'ancient' feel...

They look interesting honestly, I like M012 versions, top and bottoms look like ancient architecture from India, incorporating hindustani architecture elements (I think that is the name of them). They are priced quite nicely, now if only they stopped asking for phone number😄.

Again do tell if you buy one, I blew my budget this morning on ranga slim bamboo so out of question for me....from pic looks like they are using wality nibs, I think that should allow for some possibilities in nib department. Hari sir is best for this😁.

The pen with the temple design is really tempting! I don't know how reliable is buying anything from IndiaMart and I have never tried. Please let us know if you're going for it or if you've already got that pen with you (I'm quite late for this thread 😅) and do tell tell how's the buying experience from IndiaMart.

The contact details provided were outdated, I think.. Could not contact the person who listed the ad.. Or maybe it is sold and they moved on..

IndiaMart experience was not great.. I initially made the mistake of clicking somewhere that said 'my requirement is so and so product'; then i started getting calls, texts and whatsapp messages for all sorts of fountain pens.. However, thankfully, there was a setting that I could adjust and 'turn-off', following which the calls/texts stopped..

I found some interesting sellers for another product (not pens) that I was eyeing at - but i realized that they are now active on amazon or on their own websites.. So IndiaMart looks like an oudated online marketplace..

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
