Looks like an 805, since it appears that the furniture is silver.

Sorry, did not noticed exact color..

I know only one M805 striped version- Streseman. Could it be mixed parts?

If it´s green, it has to have gold trim and it is an M800. There are no green M805s.

The colours are strange in those screenshots, but taking this into account, the second picture could indeed show gold trim.

I am not even sure if we see a bicolor nib in the first picture or a completely rhodinated one.

Could you give us screenshots where also the orange one is in the picture, please?

Seller in presented ebay listings states that trim is silver colored. So, I still think that there is M800 series pen without correct designation, assembled from 800-805/815 different parts.

Fun to guess, isn't it? It would be easy to swap out the filler mechanism from an 805, and the cap. The section ring would be more difficult, though it can be done. I've replaced damage trim rings on these pens, and it could of course be plated if one has the equipment.

Since it was purchased from a B&M store, it could be a custom order, could it not?

would it be possible for it to be an M805 in black to which the binde has been substituted with a green one?

I suppose, but it would be more of a pain than it's worth - easier to replate the trim ring, and then switch out the filling mechanism. A binde doesn't come off easily.

OTOH, I have on occasion been known to do something just to tweak other pen mechanics. I don't sell them, but it's fun.

This was an test to see if I could transplant a section to a tortoise 400. The modern brown went on the clients pen, but this was done as the test, and now sits in my pen case. Tortoise with black section and grip knob, used with a black 400 cap. The picture shows an early cap, but because the barrel is straight and narrower end to end, it doesn't post. Vintage nib too....

Hello:

I agree the pen is a customization on a M800 green stripes of current production. The parts are changed with a M805 model and the nib ring is replated to rodium (all jewerly knows made it, and its cheap).

Not a current official model, but a good idea for a discrete personalization.

Regards.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
