Visconti introduces its new 14k solid gold in-house nib with the Homo Sapiens Lava Color series, available in white Blizzard, red Inferno, and yellow-brown Sandstorm. Catalyzed basaltic lava from Mt. Edna is treated with a stain-resistant finish to create the unique texture and appearance of these pens.

 

Visconti's patented power-fill system allows these pens to use any bottled fountain pen ink, and a unique magnetic closing system makes opening and closing the pen an ease. The first shipment of these pens is expected to arrive in early October. Each pen is retail $795, our price $636.

Looking forward to seeing more pictures from real users. I saw some pictures of the yellow-brown that looked much browner than the PR pictures (which would make me more interested).

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
