]I received my package today, it's AWESOME!!! Thank you amberleadavis for all the goodies. I couldn't figure out how to post the links to my reviews but, one is under pen reviews (A Few Chinese Pens Reviewed) and under ink reviews (NOODLER'S TEXAS NAVY).

I am so glad! Several of those nibs are custom ground by another FPNer.

Thank you, Amber (and your accomplices!), for the awesome package!

I have not tried any of the inks before. And a fun assortment of pens. The fude nib is my first and it is great! And I had never heard of Scribes Ink. The Merlot shade is beautiful and I have been looking for a perfect autumn red.

Will post reviews in the next few days.

I'm glad you are having fun! Scribes maker is someone I've met in person at the LA pen show. I bought one of every color he made that year. The inks are very nice, I'm just down sizing.

Also, I discovered that I just don't like Fude nibs, but many others do.

My ink review (CRV-style) is here.

My pen review is here.

Thank you, again!

Thank you for the links!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Hi all,

This is an awesome PIF..!! Big thanks to Amber for enriching the community.

If the thing is ongoing, I'd like to have a go, even if I'm located in the EU and is new to FPN.

Stay safe,

Daneaxe

Sorry this has taken so long. For those of you who don't know, I was very sick with stage iv colon cancer this last year, but I have great news -the oncologist has declared I'm cancer free!  I will still be sending out packages to all of you as indicated, and you are still getting exciting stuff.  @DromgoolesHoustonsent me some stuff to share.  I may not be shipping until week after next, but please forgive the delay.  If I still have energy, I will get packages made up today for shipping tomorrow.  I'm trying to keep the shipping cost under $6.

@amberleadavis Welcome back, in every way! I'm delighted to hear of your wonderful news. Thank you for letting us know!

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Glad to see that you're still "alive & kickin", Amberlea, we felt your absence. Super that you recovered and got a clean bill o' health, definitely approve of that...

😃

More serious for a bit, the 'Big C' is a monster; it took my daddy before his time...

:(

On the other hand, survival rates have improved tremendously against all kinds of it, one of these days we can finally beat it for real.

I just love getting good news!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
