I have a white Jinhao x450 that was all scratched up and looked like sh**t.   So I decided to remove all of the white enamel and make it a brushed steel pen.

I can screw off the cap phineal and clip no problem.  However, I can't seem to get the end cap of the barrel to move at all.  Is it also a screw on, or is it press fit or glued?

The other option is to just try to tape the band off while grinding the paint off.
