Hello,

 

Does anyone recognize the two space pens in the picture? They are obviously of the "Shuttle" model, but it would be nice to know the exact models. Any idea on approximate date of manufacture?

 

The striped pen has a flimsy clip. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you tried contacting the.company? They have a genuine lifetime guarantee which I had to unfortunately avail.

Their representative in my country was utterly useless, so I had to send the pen off to the USA at my expense but the pen was returned repaired to my contact in the USA with a couple of free refills complimentary.

They might even be glad to help you identify the pens.

I did not know about that lifetime guarantee - thanks. I will look into it and contact the local representative first. Unless they can help, a "Do It Yourself" -approach will have to be found, as sending the pen to the US seems a bit over the top.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
