Hi y'all,

If anyone has a way to get a hold of Lih-Tah Wong, please contact me or ask him to do so. I tried using the email address listed on his web site, but haven't gotten anywhere. Thanks!

I've been at it for a while and I finally have something to show for it.

Since the web site's index functionality is broken (it's actually just incompatible with browsers newer than about 10 years, really), I went through the whole web site and re-created the index for easy access.

After going through what I believe is all his work, I have no words to express my admiration for what he did. More than a collector's, Lih-Tah took on the role of a historian, and an amazingly good one at that!

So, without further ado, the indexes!!!!

Hi Alex,

Thank you for accumulating all the direct links to the various pages on my Parker 75 reference website and posting it here!

I do want to point out that the index on the website that normally appears on the left side of the screen is still available on Windows and MacOS but one needs to install a web browser extension for Google Chrome of Microsoft's latest Edge (now based on Chromium). The extension is called IE Tab by blackfishsoftware.com and has been available for many years. You can get it from the Google Store using this link.

Here is the description for IE Tab:

Display web pages using IE within Chrome. Use Java, Silverlight, ActiveX, Sharepoint, and more. A "Top 10" extension since 2009!
Top 10 Chrome extension since 2009! Now with MAC & CHROMEBOOK support!!

IE Tab exactly emulates IE by using the IE rendering engine directly within Chrome. This will enable you to use ActiveX controls and test your web pages with different versions of IE (IE6, IE7, IE8, or IE9).
I don't believe IE Tab can be used on iPhones or Android phones. I can't even find it in the Google store for Android. Thus it is good to have this list from Alex, for which I am grateful.
Regards,
Lih-Tah Wong

Web site's link that doesn't require an extension and works with every browser (chrome and firefox, at least):

http://www.parker75.com/Reference/whnjs.htm

In case you're wondering what this is, it's the web site's version for browsers that don't support javascript. The pages are supposed to show this link, but they don't for some reason.

Too bad I didn't see this when I started on this quest. Would've saved me a lot of time!

Lih-Tah suggested that I create a pdf. It's uglier than a Montblanc Homer, but it works.

Thank you, Lih-Tah, for all of your work! And to Alex for renewing the index, which it clear that, as Alex says, Lih-Tah has given us a detailed history of everything about the Parker 75. Thank you both!

Thank you to both for this site. It really is quite a nice reference for all of those Parker 75 lovers. Now I only have to decide which 75 will be next!! :D

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
