Thank you David for the confirmation and your nib swap.

Glad to hear another positive tailored pen experience :) that will help others down the road.

Back in the early days, I recall their Bock 250 (size 6ish) Regular standard in a few forms: current flat top cylindrical and more curved streamlined and sleek like the Minimalistica form; now only the cylindrical form remains

I would have gone Regular Sleek or even Streamlined but alas not an early adopter. :wallbash:

Maybe when the dust settles and the reboot process launches, we'll see a phoenix rebirth or other new models in the configurator. :P

Be well and enjoy pens ! :happyberet:

When I bought my Standard Bulkfiller, I really wanted a "streamlined" one, but they were only making that in the over-sized model. I don't recall that they ever made a streamlined Minimalistica.

They produce the cigar-shaped Avda-Phi version of the Minimalistica, the only variant for that model.

In visiting the Conid website today, the site still says that order-taking remains in abeyance and that they have 253 orders they're trying to fill.

Yep. I'm just waiting and hoping.

I sadly am still waiting for my order placed in Aug 2019 of a regular bulkfiller. At least its good to see that some people are getting their orders from roughly the same time period of which i ordered.I hope I'm next. The whole lack of communication is very concerning

Oh wow. They killed the Streamline and Sleek Regulars. I never liked the Sleek - just seemed to cut ink capacity for no reason, but I really like my delrin Streamline. That said, I think I prefer my full-demo FPR Flat-top...

Too many pens; too little writing.

Hi Conid friends!

Good news, Conid twill restart accepting orders as from September 2020
The Covid 19 pandemic was - and still is- seriously in Belgium, which delayed the elimination of their backlog
They have started production of the parts , assuring shorter delivery times in the future
Keep you safe and healthy !
Best regards,
Francis

That’s good news indeed!

Did you perhaps send out a newsletter? I haven’t received one, but perhaps it has been hidden in my spam box

This is a great company

The made great pens, and I'm happy to have one.  As far as being a great company, I'd have to disagree; poor management caused them to cease production. Here's hoping they are able to adjust, and reopen when conditions allow.

Add lightness and simplicate.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
