Hello Fellow Fountain Pen Aficionados!

Since its beginning 21 years ago, PENLUXpen has been recognized as a premier manufacturer of fountain pens. While attending a USA Pen Show earlier this year, the model, Masterpiece Grande, was on display. Immediately I knew that I wanted one of these exquisite fountain pens, and subsequently opted for the Blue White finish. There are 8 colors/finishes from which to choose, as well as 2 LE options.

The Penlux Masterpiece Grande fountain pen features a semi-transparent, durable, PMMA resin body. It is equipped with a 6mm-size, stainless steel JoWo nib. The nib is smooth and responsive, and the feeder delivers consistent ink flow, thus together they contribute greatly toward a delightful writing experience. The aluminum alloy inbuilt piston filling system operates flawlessly, as do the cap and barrel threading. Other features found to be beneficial....a rolling wheel clip, , a postable cap, a comfortable grip section, and, ideal weight, length, diameter. I was pleasantly surprised at the desirable price for a fountain pen offering high quality and considerable value. I'm having fun with this writing instrument! My PENLUX Masterpiece Grande was ordered from leading Retailer, penchalet.com. I have been a longstanding customer and continue to refer friends to Pen Chalet who have also become regular customers.

I have five of them, and I agree that they are outstanding pens for the price.

Where are pictures? Any links?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm really puzzled by these 'reviews' that the OP has been posting since they are clearly not reviews. I'm not even sure if they are supposed to be promoting Pen Chalet? Just very confused.

All their posts read like advertisements, but products and vendors do vary. Flowery speech does not mask the brevity of these posts and actually has the exact format of product ads; more suitable on a brief classifieds summary in a newspaper, where low character count matters, or department store flyer than on a pen hobbyist forum. I think more harm is done by these low effort posts than good, for the quality of content on FPN.

“I admit it, I'm surprised that fountain pens are a hobby. ... it's a bit like stumbling into a fork convention - when you've used a fork all your life.”

This is what I am confused by. They read like ads but I don't know what exactly the OP is promoting. I would appreciate it if they gave us some explanation. Anyway I don't know why I care so much. I guess it's just that I feel like being spammed.

+1

No one likes to be deceived . Deception = Deception is an act or statement which misleads, hides the truth, or promotes a belief, concept, or idea that is not true. It is often done for personal gain or advantage.

Seen several of these posts now from the OP...Influencer? Advertisement for the product or the vendor? Not sure....Very counterproductive...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
