We're reaching out to all friends in FPN with important news. Due to state and local regulations just enacted within the past twenty-four hours, we've been forced to temporarily suspend all operations through at least March 31st.

We're happy to say that no Nibs.com employees have encountered health issues, but we are of course complying with these regulations designed to help protect the public health and our community.

While you will still be able to visit our web site and even order products for future shipment, no products will actually ship and we will not be collecting payment information until we are able to resume normal operations. If you sent a pen or nib to us for repair or adjustment, it is being kept safely and will be returned to you once we are able to begin work again.

Please contact us at sales@nibs.com if you have any urgent questions, but please understand that response times will be much longer than usual. We will also be notifying customers here as soon as we are able to resume normal operations.

We thank everyone for their patience and understanding, and hope all of you stay safe and healthy during this challenging period. Thank you again from your friends at Nibs.com!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
