I am trying to see if there is any interest in a Pen Club for Southern Indiana, Southeastern Illinois, and Western Kentucky. Anyone interested, please post here and I will contact you. I live in Evansville, IN. in the center of the Tristate Area. Thanks for your interest.

I encourage your effort. I once lived in SW Illinois prior to moving to the East Coast and re-discovering the joy of FP's. Given the economic conditions in Southern Illinois, a club may need considerable time to become cohesive, firm up, and stand on its own. The folks at Southern Illinois University may be of help to you.

Carbondale is not that far away and I do travel in that direction in my business.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
