Id Help Please: That Is A Sheaffer Box, But What Is The Pen?

Well, I'm having a senior moment where the name escapes me - it is a Sheaffer, the 2nd version of a 2-sided nib (that actually pre-dated the Parker 180 by a few years). They dropped the double-sided nib on later ones, replacing it with a Triumph nib, like you have there.

 

Stylist, mid-60s. I have the original nib one, it has a screw-in nib assemply very like the Parker 45; mine leaked where it screwed in. I should try some silicon grease on the threads.

If the silicon grease doesn't work, possibly a tiny bit of shellac around a thread or two?

"On March 1st 1966 Sheaffer Pen Co became a division of Textron Inc and the 'Sheaffer's' logo was change to 'Sheaffer' on all merchasing and literature.The Lifetime pens were discontinued around the same time and replaced with a new range of cartridge pens called ‘Stylist’, these slender style pens were fitted with a futurist looking reversible point nib unit and a newly designed spring loaded clip. Before the line was discontinued in 1969, the fountain pen was redesigned and fitted with an Imperial style clip and the cylindrical nib, previously used on the Imperial II and III."

What do you like about the Snorkels, Ruth? Is it the design or the fill mechanism? Other than the PFM most of mine are so thin
