Yes, I have the pictures and release dates for the pens for the year but I don't think we are allowed to release that info. I can tell you that I like this year better than last year.

Thanks friends for your information. I happened to see photos from the Montblanc Patron of Art 2020 Homage to Moctezuma and I was really excited about its innovative form!

Indeed, pictures and distinctive details are not allowed here on Fountain Pen Network until the pen is officially released by Montblanc.

INK (noun): A villainous compound of tannogallate of iron, gum-arabic and water,

chiefly used to facilitate the infection of idiocy and promote intellectual crime.

I wouldn't be in any rush to see it. Frankly, it offended my eyes.

I really don't like the direction Montblanc is going. The scheduled pens for this year seem awful to me; really awful. I fear I may be getting old and grumpy.

Wow I guess different strokes for different folks. I am quite excited with some of the designs for this year's pens. My only disappointment is the aforementioned pen has a smaller nib than in the past. Otherwise very intrigued by the very gaudy design:)

I saw pictures of the incomming products and i am quite excited to see the writer's edition and the great character... both appeal to me.

Those look very similar, in fact!

Liked the 2020 lineup.

3776 + 4810.

I'm maintaining a comprehensive list of Iron-Gall inks. Contributions most welcome! bit.ly/irongall

Great character's design was a puzzle to me. It looks like a more sober version of a child's pen from a similar German brand.

What a disappointment ... Waiting for #9, realistically knowing it probably #6, but  .

However, it will be a success because I thought Homer (with a different design - but I liked it) would be a complete failure and I would be able to buy one, and disappeared from the boutiques.

The nib of pao2020 does look like the one on the Heritage 1912. In terms of size not the engravings of course.

I saw the pictures... the Moctezuma seems kind of Montegrappa-style pen. A little bit too much for my personal taste. However, I like the new burgundy Solitaire LeGrand.

The Moctezuma 4810 has arrived today. The Moctezuma is much prettier than photos, and I thought 4810 could be enough.

I ordered one and was ready to go to Hamburg for OB.

Is the nib a smaller 144 nib?

With this being out in the wild now, should we still expect an official announcement March/April or might we get it earlier?

When I stopped by my local Boutique a month or two ago they had no information available about this years pens.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
