Very pretty new model!

At first glance the material reminds me of the one Monteverde USA used for their Giant Sequoia pen, especially the green!

https://monteverdepens.com/collections/giant-sequoia/

Edit:

Could you please share the grip diameter where it is thickest, and also where it is thinnest?
Is the grip size comparable to the Model 5?

Too thick a section for my comfort, but the acrylic is interesting.

Dear Sir,

Yes. All these 7 colours are extremely beautiful in person.

Just for clarification of the shape names, is the very first Splendour shown in post #1 of this thread, and also the last two shown in post #9, the Torpedo shape? Given its pointy ends, I can see how it might also be called Peak, and I don't want to be confused. I am very likely to order one like the first pen in post #1, thanks!

1. Splendour Round 2. Splendour Peak 3. Splendour Torpedo

for me it's obvious: round is rounded ends like the 3C, Torpedo is... well, torpedo shaped like the 8B, and Peak is a new shape that Ranga has not done before (as opposed to flat tops of model 3) with the slightly pointed caps

but I can see that some may want this to be confirmed by Mr Kandan...

Do I have an anomaly? I have a Model 4 Aqua Cracked Ice that has similar conical pointed ends -- but obviously is not as large as the Splendour.

{I also have some problems with "Torpedo" shape... All photos of torpedoes I've seen have a blunt rounded nose, and a tapered tail end. Not these spitzer bullet shaped ends...

:D intercultural issues... will you please give the benefit to a non native speaker to call their pen Torpedo...

at any rate... here is a torpedo that does not look blunt nosed https://www.collinsdictionary.com/images/thumb/torpedo_400697197_250.jpg?version=4.0.45

here is another sharp nosed one https://maritime.org/doc/jolie/img/fig04.jpg

PS Ranga may have used the peaked end before, I never noticed though

I'm curious can you show a photo of yours?

my model 4 flat top does not have a peaked end

ah but yes, I know which you mean, the new acrylic model 4 "flat top version"

I don't have that one, but it is noticeable in the Ranga photo that the top has a slightly peaked end

A bit of a thread hijacking, but... the pointed ends are just visible here...

ah, yes, in fact the new model 4 in resin has pointed ends, looks quite nice

pity the step down is not my best friend...

the other two (5 and 9B) are possibly too big for me...

my best size is no doubt model 3

Dear Mr. BlueJ Sir,

Splendor Peak Cap and barrel ends are similar to Model 4. The Model 4 ends are well captured in Baronwulfraed pictures.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
