Nib Omas

Hello,

 

I'm considering buying a new nib for my Omas Paragon new style (with the metal section).

 

I saw this Omas nib but do not regognize it.

 

because of the size/measurements I think it wil fit.

 

But,

 

Can anybody tell me what kind of Omas nib this is?

That's an attractive nib. It looks like an old style special edition. Are you sure it's 35 or 36 mm long to fit your new style?

As far as I know the nib of a new style paragon(metal section) is 35 mm. Would 36 mm (so one mm longer) make that much of a difference?

1mm overall length is very significant in some pen designs... however if all other dimensions are the same the tail of the nib could easily be shortened from 36 to 35mm.

 

I have no great Omas knowledge, but I'd suggest getting a known Omas expert, or one of the repairers who used to be authorized Omas service to sign off on it being a fit before I spent much on that nib, no matter how attractive(!) it is.
