It depends on the specific "type" of bottle you got, I suppose. If you bought something like this:

<snippage>

then you should be able to fit a 14-gauge or finer Luer-lock syringe needle onto the bottle.

I did get something like that, a mix of 50ml and 30ml bottles and a variety of tips (needle) and caps.

I haven't implemented my cunning plan to use one as a travelling syringe-inkpot, cos the caps are slip-ons.

Once upon a time Rotring packaged their inks in a bottle that incorporated a plastic "syringe" tip. I haven't asked Google if they're still available. I'm assuming not.

For home use, I am optimistic that these little bottles will work. I'll know in a week.

Be a tad expensive to buy these just to dump the ink, clean the bottle, and fill with something else...

Even if the caps were secured using a Luer lock mechanism (thus replacing the blunt tip needle, when the bottles are being transported and not actively used for filling), I still wouldn't trust them for air travel; and it'd still be messy having to detach, flush and dry the blunt tip needle attachment after each use.

Do you mean these?

As always:  1. Implicit in everything and every instance I write on FPN is the invitation for you to judge me as a peer in the community. If I make a claim, or refute a statement in a thread, and link to references and other information in support, I beseech you to review and consider those, and judge for yourself. I may be wrong. My position or say-so carries no more weight than anyone else's here, and external parties can speak for themselves with what they have published.  3. I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable. If it is something you can test for yourself and see the results, I entreat you to do so.
