I've wanted a red Sailor pen for the longest time...decades.  Back when I first discovered Sailor, my local distributor did not have stock on the 1911 red.  But this last year, the Sailor Pro Gear Fire FP was introduced and I finally had my chance.  It's due to arrive tomorrow.

I ordered it from a pen boutique from whence I purchased two other Sailors.  I was told it was in stock but when it arrived, it was not the right pen, same price though.  I suspect they sent it to keep my payment in play.  I was not happy about that.

The MF nib is, IMHO, the very best nib I own, mostly Sailor, Pilot, Lamy, Platinum, Pelikan...

Could you confirm as to how red the pen is? Certain websites seem to have pictures of the pen be a darker shade of orange while others have it appearing bright red as if it were somehow urushi.

Congratulations!

With the nib which is ideal for you, it's sure to be a superb writer.

Happy Writing in 2020!
