Hello, I'm LedZepGirl

Hello, i just started collecting pens a few months ago. Most of them are just cheap ones, like Parkettes, and one low end Sheaffer Blance. But oh well, they're fun. Today I just found a Parker 21 Super in the original box with the instructions. Who ever had it hardly used it because it's perfect. The first pen I've bought that hasn't needed work.

I'd rather spend my money on pens instead of shoes and handbags.

Welcome to FPN. Led Zepplin was one of the best bands ever.

Welcome :bunny01:

Take a look at the Repair Q&A sections. Plenty of helpful answers. I have bought from other members in The Marketplace (happy so far) and from I Sell Pens and have been very happy (good prices "read - cheap")

Have fun!

Zep & Rush are kings!

Welcome to the forums, sure you will find lots of things of interest.

I find it a bit worrying to think that I am old enough to have seen Zep live bearing in mind they broke up nearly 30 years ago when Bonzo died, great band especially live.

Welcome to FPN.

Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes. Then if you still judge them you will have a headstart and they will be barefoot.

What's happenin', ZepGirl? Nice to have you here! You're certainly NOT the only person on the site who's a Zep fan. I'm a big fan, too. Ah, there's nothing like the guitar solo during "In The Evening" where Jimmy Page bends the strings so hard that one of the humbuckers picks up the sound of the springs in the tailpiece flexing! One of my very favorite guitar solos.

What part of Michigan are you from?

Welcome! You'll enjoy it here.

(My husband has a glow-in-the-dark Led Zepplin T-shirt and we both think Jimmy Paige rules)

Nice. Jimmy is my favourite.

The west side, where there is a lot of nothing for miles.

Ah, I love the west side of the state! Are you up towards Luddington and TC, middle near Holland, or down near Benton Harbor? I'm from the middle of the state myself. About 35mi from Lansing.

Welcome to FPN!

Welcome from India, LZ. We are pen afficionados, doesn't matter if the pen is cheap or expensive. I can say every new pen brings joy. And my experience says, a pen that is cheap but writing well and looking attractive gives more thrill than an expensive one. Pleasure in life is not a subject of cost accountancy. Cheers! P.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
