Best Nib Candidate For Engineer Grind / Reverse Architect?

Was recently at a pen show and tested out a so-called engineer grind, a.k.a. reverse architect. It writes very fine nib side up, but broad when reverse writing. I wonder what stock nib is the best candidate for a regrind of this sort?

A nib with the largest glob of tipping material on which a skilled nibmeister can do his/her thing.

 

Maybe a Sailor Zoom nib, or something with a BB or BBB nib. You're not trying to preserve anything of the stock nib's own character out-of-the-box.

 

Or you could simply ask a nibmeister to "re-tip" a nib as necessary to give him/her enough material with which to craft the nib you want.

 

I'm deliberately taking the viewpoint that cost minimisation is not the point; fitness for purpose (i.e. to be reshaped into the kind of nib grind you described) is the only key requirement.

what you need is enough of a substantial tipping on the side facing up and that typically mean BB or BBB Kugel type
