Yup, 3D print :) I found the template online (can't remember the website) and my brother-in-law printed it out for me, so on top of everything, it was free :-D

I wrote the first draft of my first novel with a battered old green Faber-Castell. Chipped barrel, cracked cap, so hardly a thing of beauty, but it stuck to its guns and did the Rather Large job.
Now, at last and alas, it's stopped working. Phone camera acting up, so no decent photos, but it's on the left in the first picture here.

I had more green pens than I thought.

The Visconti Irises is one of my favorites because it looks like an oil painting. But I like them all because I did choose them. The TWSBI Diamond 580 is another I really like. I forgot to get the Lamy Safari Mint Glaze in the photo. It is rather pale.

Just a humble Diamond Point but with a lovely flexible nib and some great memories. In the meantime the ink changed to Olivastre, which matches its colour better (and is very well behaved, indeed).

Very nice! This lovely Jade Green pattern certainly deserves its own thread! Parker, Sheaffer, Wahl-Eversharp, Chilton, Onoto etc plus many lesser known makes all have some pens made in this beautiful green.

Not a good photo but they are definitely green: Montegrappa La Verde Roma + ASC Bologna Extra Arco Verde

two desirable greens... :)

My two favorite green fountain pens are my Sheaffer Touchdown TM with a fine nib, and my Esterbrook J with a 9314-M Relief Medium Stub.

And this is a late Wahl Eversharp, probably of French origin given the ink loading system it uses (accordion like). It is indeed green, although rather hard to get the true hue on pictures. I should post a review one of these days...

The pictures have been taken with the cell phone and a magnifier glass, sorry for the low quality.

For me personally, I love the shade of green that TSWBI has on the ECO. . I am ordering one very soon, and I will try to remember to post pictures

Very beautiful Divina. I wonder what it looks like when the silver patinas. I like both polished and patinated silver look. It's really nice that Visconti used sterling silver on the barrel even though it must have been difficult to make.

here is one more favorite in green (Visconti Divina midi)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
