Don't own many - M300 green-striped is my fave but this Indian Maiden JIF, currently inked with Fuyu-gaki, is fun.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I have the primarily green Visconti van Gogh Irises, Lamy Safari Apple Green and Mint Glaze, Kaweco Sport Skyline in mint, and the Goldspot exclusive turquoise which leans more to green, a green Jinhao shark pen, A Pilot Retro Pop in light green, the Lamy Al-Star Bluegreen, and a Waterman Phileas in Amazon green

Green isn't a very highly represented color in my collection, but oddly my two most expensive pens are green.

Extremely rare and extremely expensive. a vac fill wahl doric airliner with the ink shutoff valve, vac filler, and intact 14 way adjustable nib

Also very rare and expensive, Visconti divina metropolitan, in stacked green celluloid and sterling siver

That’s easy. My Franklin-Christoph Model 31 Omnis in Emerald. Of course, it is currently filled with Edelstein Olivine ink.

I actually happen to have two green fountain pens inked up in my current rotation at this very moment! Which is indeed rather rare for me.

fpn_1572290754__20191028_145629b.jpg

On top: Lamy Studio Olive special edition (get it now if you want it!). Inked it with Pelikan Edelstein Olivine as well.

On bottom: Parker Vacumatic Junior Emerald Pearl, inked with Parker Quink Washable Blue.

With kind regards,
-Matthew

I saw the Nakaya Mitsukoshi Pen Fair pen when I was fortunate enough to attend this year and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it. My only green pen otherwise is this ASC in Green Saft celluloid. It's beautiful, but the nib needs reduced because it's too broad and wet for my daily use.

Edited to add a picture of my Reform green pens. Not too flashy, but...

The middle of these three, a Waterman Man 100 Patrician in Emerald. The Coral and Lapis are not bad either.

Apologies for the quick and dirty phone photo I had available, complete with desk lamp glare. All are darker in reality.

edit: clarify

I enjoy both my Esterbrook J in Fern Green, and my Wahl Eversharp Skyline in Marine Green. These are also the only two green pens I have. I intentionally went after the Skyline, the only green one I could find at the Philadelphia Pen Show, while the J kinda fell into my lap one evening while looking through Ebay.

FP Ink Orphanage-Is an ink not working with your pens, not the color you're looking for, is never to see the light of day again?!! If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! Please PM me!For Sale: TBA

Probably my Sheaffer Balance OS. Love the pen, but ironically rarely use it because of the fine nib. (With apologies for the mobile phone 'grab' shot which doesn't do it justice).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China. With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters. Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed. And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments.. I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
