Just acquired this Wearever pen that appears to be a Pennant model, except for a few details that are different from any Pennant I've seen. For one thing, it has a 14k nib with clear feed. The cap is slightly different in that it has no polished cap band. Also, the section is the same color as the barrel instead of being black. In addition, the cap lip is smooth, not coin edged.

The barrel imprint reads "WEAREVER, NORTH BERGEN NJ, USA".

Does anybody know how this pen fits in to the Wearever line or the Pennant line?  Or is this either a prototype or a frankenpen?

Thanks!
