Sugarcane (forget if I marked regular or mini -- think mini as the dimensions are similar to regular bamboo), some greenish shade as I recall, 18K gold Bock F nib.

{It would be a major effort on the web order form, but has any thought been given to using separate color/sample images attached to the radio buttons -- scrolling up&down to match the numbered items in the photos to the long list of buttons can be confusing}

Dear Mr.Baronwulfraed Sir,

Thin Sugarcane is mostly similar to thin Bamboo. Regular Sugarcane is slightly longer than Regular Bamboo.

We have given lot of choices for Models, Colours and Nibs. But we tried our best to give it in one place

It has 15 Models *39 colours *56 Nibs *3 clip Options =98280 Choices. All for FPN'ers delight:)

Can you provide a low number of cap rotations for capping/uncapping? Also, what is the narrowest diameter of the grip of the 4C?

Thank you.

Could you tell me whether the photo above of the 8B is with mottled Olive ebonite?

Also, is it true that a mini Sugarcane model is indeed the same size as a Regular Bamboo?

Thanks again Mr Kandan for a new group buy.

I am hesitating, however, as I was waiting for acrylics without step ups, but some Matte ebonites are very tempting.

Dear Mr. Lloyd Sir,

Atleast 2 turns are needed for long life. We have implemented (less than 1 turn) in Sugarcane series models alone with extra work.

In 4C , the narrowest section girth is 10.5-11mm app

Dear Mr. Dupontdelamare Sir,

You are welcome to participate:)

Model 8 is Mottled Olive , Model 8B is Solid Golden Brown.

Thin Sugarcane can be equated to Thin Bamboo in terms of dimension

Only nodes of thin bamboo are slightly thicker

We are introducing Thin Sugarcane for first time here

Thin Sugarcane is mostly similar to thin Bamboo. Regular Sugarcane is slightly longer than Regular Bamboo.

I was basing it on the listed dimensions -- granted, sugarcane has "joints" that protrude, where bamboo has "joints" that cut in. But my bamboo just fits my larger 4-slot pen case. The 17+ mm of "regular sugarcane" is unlikely to fit. That's why I consider the thin sugarcane similar to regular bamboo.

Don't know if you've had time to check your email -- the confirmation with payment instructions I received has an incorrect price... The gold bock nib was not accounted for.

Payment sent after receiving corrected price.

looks like there is another version of this thread...

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/349636-ranga-handmade-pens-matte-is-marvelous-theme-offer-in-ebonite-models/

I'll just copy my first answer here, it was odd not finding it

Having skipped the previous group buy, I'll be your first customer here, Mr. Kandan... :)

When it comes to bakul I find the standard rippled and mottled ebonite colours to show their value

I'm going with a clipless model 8 in mottled brown (R5), Bock gold tone nib M (as I don't have a bakul model 8 yet!)

Thank you

Aside from the color selection, what is the difference between the regular, special, and premium ebonites?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
