Thanks.  After I retired from being an analytical chemist, I briefly got in to collecting lab synthesized gem stones that are molecularly identical to naturally occurring mined stones. They've been sitting unloved in a box for years, so it's fun to get them out and play with them again. I'd still like to pick up a synthesized diamond. Maybe one of these days the prices will go down.

I was using Lamy Amazonite today and remembered tgis thread. Its a really nice emerald with a prominent blue and great shading.
