1,2 & 3 are Aurora Optima. 6 is a Montblanc 100th anniversary rollerball. 9 is another Aurora Optima. 10 and 11 looks like a modern Parker Centennial/Duofold re-release but cant be certain myself. 23 and 24 is a Montblanc Poe fp and pencil, 25, 26 and 27 is a Sheaffer Balance (modern) set. 28 and 29 some manner of S T Dupont? 37 looks like it might be a Montblanc 144. 42 is a Montblanc Faulkner. 43 is a Montblanc Boheme Rollerball. 45 through to 49 are Montblanc Starwalker models. 52 is a Montblanc Virginia Wolf and 54 and 55 are 149's.

I love the looks of number 25. Wow, best of luck with the sales on all of these. I'd be like a kid in a candy store trying each one out and cleaning them up for sale!!

28 & 29 are not S T Dupont but Waterman Exception, 29 a Night and Day variant I think.

The image looks distorted. Nos 34 and 35 may be S T Dupont. Line D?

34 and 35 are monteverde invincia deluxes. They're worth maybe $35-40 each on a good day.

30, 31 and 32 looks like a Waterman Opera set.

Is 40 a Montblanc highlighter? I thought I saw a yellow tip.

Yeah 40 is a MB highlighter.

God knows why MB decided they needed to make a highlighter.

Send them to me and I'll see what I can do.

*No guarantee that the sent pens will be returned as a whole

In some long distant future, because hardly anyone bought the highligher, it will become someones "hard to find" highly desired pen. Funny how collectors are.

16/17 look to be newer versions of Levenger L-Tech 3.0 (the old version didn't have the conductive touchpad end). https://www.levenger.com/writing-8/shop-by-brand-34/levenger-275/l-tech-30-fountain-pen-13203.aspx

Most of these should have the makers name imprinted somewhere -- across the nib, on the pocket clip, maybe around the cap band.

{Hmm, interesting -- the web site shows a wide variety of pen brands now, which never appear in the print catalog}

  • 4 weeks later...

50 looks like a 90th anniversary fp. Is it in rose gold? It should have 90 in a circle on the nib if its the anniversary model.

36 might be a Mozart rollerball??

I agree - I have an L-Tech and it looks a bit thicker in diameter than these but other than that it's the same design. Mine has the button touch thingy.

[Yes, interesting - I had no idea they had this variety of pens; last I checked they seemed to be carrying fewer brands but this seems like more]

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
