I lately made quite a lot of photography in black and white, on film. Pens could not escape the momentum...
The Arco celluloid is so innerly luminescent, that it glows also in black and white!
The first two shots were taken on Ilford PanF film, exposed for 50 ISO, with virtually no grain; the third short is on Ilford HP5 400 ISO, gorgeously grainy!

Welcome to the thread, Como! It must have been difficult to give up such beauty, isn't it?
Do you still have some Arco celluloid pen?

My kind of thread.

That is the only arco I've seen that I find more beautiful than my beloved green. Spectacular.

It’s always painful to let go of an Arco. But as I do not use ballpoints or rollerballs since quite a few years, I actually bought this 360 vermeil just to admire its beauty. So I never used it and had it only briefly before it was gone. It’s better that way, that I didn’t develope a sentimental feeling for it :-) I have a couple of Arco FPs. Will try to post some photos later but I am ill-equipped in macro and equally scant in talent, if you don’t mind :-)
Thank you, como, for your reply. I do not use rollerballs and ballpoints neither (unless I have to take a flight and fill out forms during the trip...), so I understand you.
We all look forward to see some pics of your Arco pens, anyway...

Short cuts make delays, but inns make longer ones.

Sadly, the Burkina pen is gone. I miss the material, though I never did care much for that nib. The ASC Paragon is what it is - a nice big slab of Arco. This nib writes well (not gushing) after tuning by Mike Masuyama. Can't say I use the pen, though.

Great thread, another classic no doubt.
I might just leave these two pics here of my arcos, enjoy 😁
This, CeeElle, is really too much!
A glorious binge of Arco, an unforgettable indigestion of Arco, a severe attack by Arcoitis ...

Ogiva Arco and Paragon Arco HT accompanied by Pearl Grey and Ercolessi.
Belle, caro como! Your two Omas Arco (in the classic Paragon and Ogiva shapes) are splendid.
And Pearl Grey is another of my favorite Omas celluloids of all time, so sober and mysterious.

Thank you, Fpupulin. I too like Pearl Grey very much and find it very classy and a pattern that I never get tired of, whether it's a quiet evening at home, or a business meeting. My photo really doesn't do justice to these pens. I enjoy seeing your BW analog photos. I miss the full manual analog photography days.

Thank you for sharing, JulieParadise. Very lovely family photo of Papi Mami and Kiddo. Sweet.

Gorgeous trio!
I knew of the old Paragon model, the Dama, and the Princess in Arco celluloid, then – post 2005 – the new "Grand" versions of the Milord and the Paragon, but I never heard before of an "old" Milord in Arco celluloid. It must be a pretty rare pen.
Anybody can confirm its existence and, possibly, some approximate dates of production?

"The Paragon name was first used in the 80's. Omas basically renamed the 557F as the Paragon. However, the Milord name dates to 1968 and is pretty much a 556." - AltecGreen, a man learned in all things having to do with Italian pens.
