I remember seeing this on TaoBao , the prices it's about 150 $ i believe . It's even have the company logo, name  , model nr imprinted on the barrel .

I love Fountain Pens, with hooded nib in the classic style, Parker 51/61 type .

Weee
$150. While it looks nice - particularly the large diamond pattern - that price is well outside what I am prepared to pay for a WS601. They are good, but I have had enough failures not to be prepared to risk that amount of money having one. Furthermore, how good is the plating? On my DJ burgundy, the chrome plating around the blind cap jewel started to look grey after 3 days. That's not terribly good on a $10 pen. On a $150 pen it would be unforgivable, and I have (as yet) no evidence that it would be better on the $150 pen.

Regards,

Richard.

I believe it's the same pen but different cap and metal accessories color .

The cap of that pen it's made of massive Sterling Silver (925) ?

In that case it is worth it's price . :)

An interesting development, thank you for sharing.

I recently got a steel cap DJ. The 'jewel' is...interesting. Notice the run off on the bushing screw? Might be applied as a liquid that then sets hard?

The pen itseIf is quite nice, the cap a bit of a let down! I've disassembled the cap to fettle it a bit.

*The bushing is one of those wierd ones with a slope by the shaft rather than squared off, like a late Hero 616. Baffling decision that looks really ugly and ensures any concentricity problems between cap shell and plastic inner cap are presented to the clip.

* Capping stops short of covering the ink window

* Capping action is mushy, like a  Parker 45's rather than a 51's clutch-over the clutch ring tactility.

* The finish is really meh. I think they were going for a polished finish at the band, and a horizontally brushed finish for the rest of the body, but it looks like a lustraloy cap that's spend some years in a drawer jangling with pocket change. Brushing is indistinct and squinty, with lots of vertical scratches.
