Your Most Trusted Brand Of Ink

I was almost going to start one of those "if you could only have one brand of ink" threads, but… Then I thought, maybe I should keep it a little more real. So, here's a less grueling and possibly more useful question:

 

If something happened and you lost your entire supply of ink, and you had to start over with fresh bottles, what would be your go-to brand? Is there a brand you would feel comfortable turning to for the majority (if not all) of your ink needs?

Pelikan and in particular, the 4001 range.

Having said that, I've been perfectly happy with all of the Diamine inks that I've purchased over the years. Great price here and great choices.

Actually, I trust every brand except Noodler's, PR and Abraxas. Also, I don't trust Lamy because A. they don't print the name of the ink on the bottle or bottle's box or cartridge's box, and B. they don't sell bottles of their own LEs in their own country.

That's a tough one for me. I might lean most heavily on Diamine, but my love for fade-resistant inks makes me think I'd wind up buying at least one or two Noodler's regardless (for Purple and Blue or Blue Eel). Black would likely be Pelikan, blue-black Pilot, green Diamine Sherwood, and brown Diamine Chocolate. Would anyone like to suggest other fade-resistant purples and blues?

 

eta: I'd also have to have Iro Ku-Jaku, an ink my wife bought for me some years ago, to put in the pen she bought for me a couple years ago, for my billets-doux to her.

If I just had to do only one brand for inks only, it'd be Pilot (mostly the Iroshizuku line). It's tough to decide between that and Sailor. I'm mostly saying Pilot because of pricing and availability of the wonderful Iroshizuku line which I like a lot and could make do with alone. But I would miss Sailor and J. Herbin. After those, I have some favorites from various brands like KWZ inks, Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa, Lamy Petrol. Still, I could make do with only Iroshizuku inks and be content.

 

I voted for Sailor in the ink AND pen thread, because I prefer Sailor pens too.
