I let y'all know when the pen I ordered thirteen weeks ago arrives.

Arrived! ASA MAYA Matte Black, Bock threaded section, polished cap top and barrel end, no rings, two turns to open. Understated, well balanced and very comfortable in hand uncapped. Perfect!!

Second only to my Conid Minimalistica.

Yes, a photo would be nice. Hopefully I'm next on the list. He said he would put it in the mail last week Friday.

Congrats on the new addition to the family!

It looks exactly like the many other black Mayas with no rings posted on this sub-forum  :)

To continue to conversation, I got my ASA Translucent Nauka last week. It was about 2 weeks after the originally stated delivery time. Given his state of health, Id say thats a good turnaround, although wracked with anxiety/anticipation on my end.

The eyedropper writes lovely. A medium nib which is an extremely wet writer.

Just to add something to this thread.  I ordered an Asa Maya in Teal with the Jowo Nib unit on June 11. It shipped on July 1 on was on my doorstep by the 10th.  I was expecting six weeks so I was pretty pleased.

He seems to have recovered. I ordered a pen on the 22nd. The website warned that I'll have to wait four weeks before it's made and shipped, but I got a shipping notification and a tracking number on the 27th already. The pen is at Chennai airport now; if it'll take four weeks before I have it, it'll be due to customs, not to the company.

Nice one, I have a matt black one but with the rings, I often think it would have been nicer without (the rings are not perfectly flush).

I don't love the clip either...

How did you go about ordering one without rings?

some of the glossy finishes seem nice too, but they're not on offer.

I contacted them 10 days ago but no answer, no acknowledgment. That is a "bit" more than the accepted answer time in business.

ASA didn't answer my two emails in four weeks.
It is nice to see that they don't need new customers.
But my recommendation to others from now on is: avoid them.

The only way to contact that has worked is WhatsApp.

I contacted Mr Subbu twice over WhatsApp while waiting for my pen. It was when he was at the beginning of his illness, and he was responsive.

My experience was that he does not email, nor respond (at this juncture) to queries made through his website. His vision with a computer screen was problematic.

I understand MKE's response to avoid, but given the conversation here and his record for follow-through, I would make verbal before I write them off.
