Hargreaves Landsdown Bargains From Cross

Hargreaves Landsdown has been giving away free Cross pen sets to high spending customers.

 

It's a branded FP & ball pen set. which they tell their clients has an RRP of £125 (in my opinion they are not worth that much).

 

However, a lot of these sets turn up on e-bay and can be won for less than £25.

 

Sadly the FP is cartridge only, but it does come with a rather hard - and smooth writing steel nib. It's on the wide medium/broad side.

 

As such, it would make a rather good pen set for beginners - the nib won't get sprung, it's a smooth writer and easy to maintain - and there is a back-up biro to boot and they are rather cheap. The lacquer finish is not great quality - mine started to chip not long after I bought it- but it is a nice consistent writer that posts.

FYI, I went and found a couple of the sets on eBay, just as sandy101 said I would, and the FP included appears to be a Cross Bailey.
