I am not a fan of Studio, but might reconsider once I see this in person.

That is my youngest daughter's favorite color.

I like my Studio much more than I expected and have been using it as a daily carry for a long time. I also carry my 2000 daily.

It's barely 6 months, that is poor budgeting. laugh.png You'll now have to dip into the emergency pen fund.

I love the Studio and that color is beautiful! But the section of the Studio is too slippery for me.

IIRC you might be able to procure the rubber grip, present on the steel version, separately.

Anyone has bought and taken picture of the Aquamarine Studio?

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

I really like the Color, and my youngest daughter LOVES the color. I won't buy my youngest one of these since she will go "ooooooo" and "aaaaaaahhhhhh" and then leave it on her bedroom floor never to be seen again. Don't think I want to hold it for her.

I really like my black one that has been one of my daily carry pens for a very long time now. I know that some people find that very smooth bottom part to be a problem for them, but it works just fine for me (as in my fingers don't complain about it).

My wife loves Olive Green, so I ordered one in that color. Could not justify buying a third pen even though I like the color.

I bought this color recently but have to say the color looks darker compare with the photographs on the Lamy and others websites. I like it better. On the website I was so-so.

I have to say, I have multiple pens with metal grip section of various brands and never hand any problems with it. Never thought is was too slippery.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
