A Hommage To Barry Gabay

Reading the serene words of Barry when he recounts the personal and family events linked to the Meisterstück 149, following his narrative through almost four decades of human and academic passion for this pen, is always for me the simplest and perfect way to remember the inimitable qualities of this writing tool.

 

After reading his recent interview on "Vintage Montblanc Pens", I wanted to celebrate the pure, black beauty of the 149, photographing for the occasion some of my pens together with two incredible black callas, that I purchased for this purpose.

 

It is a small tribute to Barry, for the intimate personal knowledge of this pen that he transmitted to entire generations of enthusiasts and for the sweet wisdom that transpires in each of his word.
