Here we go then! The 10 Diamine Purples produced exclusively for the Fountain Pens UK Facebook Group. And what a selection to choose from. From red purples sheening green to blue purples sheening yellow. A wealth of chromatic behaviours on show too.

The swabs were created on cartridge paper and the swatch tests on Bockingford watercolour paper. For the creatives amongst you, the bleach tests have also proved to be very exciting as the abstract alphabets demonstrate. So, ten fabulous purples to choose from. If you want to get involved and vote for your favourite colour sign up to Fountain Pens UK FB Group. You will also be able to name the ink and get hold of it ahead of general release! More images on website.

Impressive! I'm sure one of them can be a doppelgänger of the highly coveted Lamy Dark Lilac.

765 appears to be the hot favourite for that. And with that yellow sheen, it's also got a lot of Purple Rain about it.

The numbers are only working labels. The most popular voted Ink will then have to be named! And that too will be voted for. All good fun! Are you signed up to join one?

Thank you for the great comparison. Which one is a purple black in your opinion?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

765 seems to be the purple black and is the leading favourite I believe.

Im not a big fan of purple but 765 does seem very special, would definitely buy it.
How are the bleach tests done, writing with a bleach filled fountain pen ?

When using bleach, always use a dip pen.
