Hi!

 

I made this account a century ago and it has laid dormant ever since. Sorry for not introducing myself!

 

I love pens ever since I was a kid. My dad used to collect them. Hopefully I'll participate more and get to meet you all!

 

I am a languages ninja by profession and in my spare time I touch computers and do nerdy stuff. I also love roaming the Austrian countryside in my bike. Pics are from my last trip .

Heeey what a nice reception!

So here's a story: I once mailed 20kg of stuff from myself to myself because I was moving, from Moscow to Spain. The 20kg never ever made it. It included my entire collection of pens.

Argh. I still think about those.

What do you mean I can't handle in my 30.000 word translation in longhand?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
