When these come back around with steel nibs (I don't have the means to afford the titanium), I'd seriously consider a Model 8 if I could get it with the barrel some 5-10mm shorter.

has anyone experience with these nibs?  I'm a huge fan of Ranga pens, but have never used a titanium nib, so I am hesitant to pay the higher price.  is it worth it?

The Bock titanium nib is one of my absolute favourites. Smooth but with a bit of give in the feel. I would definitely be participating in this group buy if the black/orange premium ebonite were available. Mr Kandan, you did say it would be available again soon?

bbs, would you mind telling us which of the Bock nibs you favour: F, M, or B?
Thank you for any remarks that might help the neophyte make a decision.

Happily! At present I favour the F, the springiness seems slightly more pronounced in that width. But nothing wrong with the M either. I haven't tried a B in this nib, so will reserve comment.

My titanium Bock nibs are in other pen models, but the steel Bock nibs I've got in Mr Kandan's pens have all performed well and I see no reason why the titanium ones shouldn't as well.

Good luck with your choice! Unless you want to explore the springiness feeling, I'd suggest going with the nib width you usually favour.

Thank you

Having just received a Bamboo and 4C, I hope I may ooze into the conversation.

My 4C posts, but not sturdily -- feels like the cap wants to pop off. Since the 3C has the large overlap cap (versus the 4C smooth cap join) I'd tend to suspect the 3C posts much easier.

My Bamboo has a short (1/4 inch) tail that seems sized to post the cap. It fits very snug. However, as the pens lack trim rings at the mouth of the cap, I'd be a bit worried about splitting the cap if one isn't perfectly in alignment with the tail.

i have several 3 and 3c models and can tell you the post very well. the 8b does also.   you can post the bamboos, but is very shallow and I've never felt very comfortable doing it.  they are all so large (except perhaps the regular model 8) that posting usually isn't needed.

Will the "Teal Blue - Khaki Ripple(S8)" material be available at any time? I keep looking in all the group buys and it is listed in the initial posting as a color choice, but is unavailable in the purchase options. Thank you.
