Weird Color 1982 Pilot Faceted Vp

I was wondering if you could help me with an interesting Pilot VP pen I came across. It is a faceted VP model, but it's not in the standard 4 colors I've seen. It's not black and it's not matte - more like a grey color. The nib is from 1982 and all the packaging is in english.

It could de discoloration from sun exposure/shop window display.

If color is correct, should be consistent on all sides and under clip.

Whether or not its supposed to be like that its a really cool colour.
