Thank you for your lovely website, a great MB resource. I have the 232 model with telescopic piston. Amazingly big ink capacity for such a small pen, due to the space efficient mechanism.

Thank you, siamackz. These smaller models remain affordable compared to the 139 etc and are so nice to write with. I often go back to your wonderful site. I much appreciate your dedication and generous knowledge sharing.

My constant refrain: Having seen these stunning vintage designs, why doesn't MB re-issue them? Hint: I'd buy a red marbled No. 6 long safety in a picosecond.

Super-fine thread and vintage MB web site, siamackz!

I'm so happy to share with you my newest acquisition - the rare No. 235. This pen has some interesting history and mystery attached to it. Check out the full article - https://www.vintagem...pens.com/no-235

siamackz: Many thanks for sharing the historical and technical background of the MB 235, very intriguing. Congratulations on such a rare find! May I ask if this pen has the same filling system as the non-telescopic piston 232 model, i.e. backend glued in? Also the same with MB 242, 244. From the picture it looks similar if not identical.

Thank you! Yes it does seem to have the same simple piston system as the 24x

Grest article and a significant and under-rated model.

I'd heard of the 235, but never seen one, until I read your page.

Great work, Sia - well written and very informative, too.

Don't think I've ever seen a 234, either (without the ½). I love this period of manufacture, when fountain pens were important items and (nearly) everybody needed one.

Thanks for sharing,
