I'm enjoying the Beena Lincoln. I had to smooth the nib, but with that done it's a nice, solid little Indo-Germanic pen, very comfortable to write with.

Thanks Vaibhav for this group buy. I got my pen yesterday and frankly first impression was not so much exciting (let me admit that pen was much attractive in picture than in physical). But once I filled it and started writing few pages, I was absolutely impressed by it. Grip is very comfortable, and pen is very light weight (real light).

I had asked for stub nib but I am not sure if its stub (though its write like it) because 'B' is written on nib.

One problem I am having is while using it with converter, I have to push it after regular interval to maintain the ink flow, otherwise ink flow is getting stopped. (Can you help me in solving this issue?)

Also, Can I use this as an eyedropper?

Overall I am very please with this pen. Here is few mobile snap.

Thanks for looking.

@Sarvesh, glad to hear your pen has arrived - I'm still waiting for mine! [Ordered a flex nib, which meant delayed shipping - then the 'slow boat' to Australia, then customs...]

The most likely cause of the slow dry-up you're experiencing is there being some kind of manufacturing oils (or other gunk) caught in the ink feed. If it hasn't resolved itself by the end of your first ink fill, you could try either (1) flushing water repeatedly in and out of the feed; or (2) pulling out the nib and feed, giving the feed a rinse (and/or a gentle scrub with a toothbrush?), and reassembling.

Is there anyone here who have yet to receive their pens or it's shipping information? As much as I appreciate Mehendiratta's time and effort for arranging this group buy, I am completely in the dark about my purchase.

I only got my shipping notification from @mehandiratta on Sunday - so it's possible he'll be in touch with you shortly!

i still haven't gotten my pens. Mr. Mehandiratta responded twice to my queries, telling me he would send confirmation but he has not done so.

I sure hope that do come at some point! It's been a long time...

Learning that Jobesmirage in New York received his pens made me apprehensive that by some odd coincidence I might have been left out. Now that I have learnt that there are more enthusiasts like me showing commendable patience, I am also going to display my iron resolve and wait my turn.

  • 2 weeks later...

My 3 Desire pens (plus two spare nibs I requested) finally arrived in the Land Down Under today, along with some spare nibs I requested - they really are beautiful to look at! Haven't had time to ink them up as yet, but am eagerly looking forward to it...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
